The initial contract, managed by SPIE OGS Gabon, involved 5 technical experts deployed to the site, with the aim of meeting Shell's specific needs in terms of optimizing oil fields in this strategic region.

Context:

 Target: Shell Gabon, a major player and operator in the oil sector, formerly based in Gabon.


 Applicant: Global service provider SPIE Oil & Gas Group for the oil and energy industry.


 Sector: Oil and Gas (upstream).


 Challenge: Management and optimization of a personnel provision contract
qualified for oil production operations in the Rabi Kounga fields area.

Initial diagnosis:

  • Analysis of Shell Gabon's growing needs for qualified personnel for its operations on the Rabi Kounga fields.

  • Assessment of the relationship between contracted personnel and Shell operational management.

  • When I took up my mission as Technical and Operations Director at SPIE OGS Gabon, I reassessed the structure and growth potential of the contract.

Strengthening of staff:

  • Doubling of qualified staff, increased to 10 experts, thanks to strong personal involvement in project management and solid interpersonal relationships.

Strategic relationships:

  • Development of privileged relationships with:
    - Teams of various nationalities operating on the project.
    - Shell Gabon's operational management, strengthening collaboration and mutual trust.

Quantified impact

  • Doubling of the initial staff on the contract, going from 5 to 10 experts.

  • Generated revenue of approximately USD 190,000 per month with a net margin of over 25%, optimizing profitability for SPIE OGS Gabon.
